Obituary of Hazel M. Meeker

In Guilford, Feb. 22, 2009, Hazel M. Sadding Meeker, 92, formerly of Chester St., New Haven. Wife of the late Thomas S.Meeker. Loving mother of Thomas(Pauline)Meeker of Branford, Fred Meeker of Fl,David Meeker of East Haven, Nancy Doorn of North Branford, Dorothy ( Lewis) Maturo of East Haven, Daniel( Mary Ann) Meeker of East Haven and Beatrice ( Tony ) Cacace of New Haven. Sister of Ruth Martine of FL, Doris Heck of FL and the late Edna Wills , and George, Charles, Walter, and Robert Saddig. Also survived by twenty grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mabel Senn Saddig and a son in law Dino Doorn.Born May 22, 1916 in New Haven, she was employed for over twenty five years as a lock maker for Sargent CO. from there she retired. She was a former member of the East Pearl St. Methodist Church in New Haven, the Eagles Club of Hamden and the Sat. nite mixed bowling league at the Circle Lanes in East Haven. Hazel loved walking and being with all of babies in the family. Graveside service will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in Green Lawn Cemetery, Tyler St., East Haven. There are no calling hours.
