(Part 4) She volunteered to entertain playing the piano at many adult care facilities in the East Haven areashe especially loved Laural Woods where after her walking accident, when she broke her hip in 2008, she spent her last years getting great care yet confined to a wheelchair. All the time she expressed she was happy as she gets to visit all her friends just as she did before. Now there is an eary and deafening silence as I fight back the tears and remember the years of LOVE my Mother, Mary, gave to me. Mom has gotten to finally meet my daughter, Diana Lee as the Lord thought it best to take her so peacefully & so quickly. (continued)

(Part 5) Mom, thanks for every little thing you did for your family. Thanks for the piano lessons. I hope I've made you proud using some of the talents you passed along to me. Thanks for accepting all of my family. Bobby and Todd both loved you too. I'll see you in my dreams . . .and if I do, please pass along some winning lotto numbers would you please ? J OK, I know you didn't gamble, can't blame me for trying. May our Blessed Mother welcome you into eternal heavenly bliss.
I'll always, We'll always love You too Mom.

(Part 2)
It's so difficult to even attempt to share w/ the FB world just how much Mom meant to me in just a few paragraphs. I'm sure you all know a bit of the pain & loss I'm experiencing. It's similar to that scene from the movie, We Were Soldiers when the cabbie delivered those Western Union telegrams statingwe regret to inform youyour son has died in battle etc. In my case, it was my Mom It was Bing, Bang, Boom right thru the heart.
Here's the bright and POSITIVE side to Mom's passing, which I'm trying to remember above all.
Mom could really cook and Bake !
MOM played a great Piano !
Mom could read music yet preferred to play many many songs by ear' she would say and then add I love to play the black keys they sound so pretty> Yes, Mama, songs in Eb Do sound really nice. J
Mom taught me the true value of a dollar ! As far back as 1967, while I spent my summer vacation working FT @ Bradleys Dept. store, Orange, Ct. making $1.47/hr min. wage.
As a stock boy. I remember she took me food shopping stating she worked hard to stretch EVERY dollar into three. She did !! She had to.

(PART 1) Thursday May 21st would've been just another sunny-soon-to-be-hot summer day here in Fl. I had slept later than usual, awakening only by Karen handing me the phone @ 8:55am. Keesha, Mom's day nurse, regrettably told me the news I've never wanted to hear your Mom just passed. Stunned, I asked & was informed she had passed quickly & painlessly just b-4 she began breakfast. I also wanted to make sure she would receive the Sacrament of the Living ( the Last Rites it used to be known as). I was informed she had some time ago when she beat the odds and had cheated death again.
Now, though, it was for realMom's gone and I'll never hear her sweet voice again telling usI love you Karen and I love you too, Donald. Just the night b-4, Roberta, Mom's loving, caring night nurse brought Mom to the phone for another of our many conversations that were limited because of her illness. Yet, always included my singing & telling herI just called to say I Love YOU. That always seemed to bring a smile on her face I was always told. Roberta would always bring Mom her favorite Dunkin' Donut holes , at her own expense, just because that kind gesture would make Mom smile from ear to ear and also, it seemed, would wake her up and she became more talkative. LoL (maybe it was the sugar rush ??...continued
