Jonathon “Jon” Sholun 33 of Branford passed away. He was born May 16, 1981 in New Haven to Mark Sholun of Branford and Nancy (Broach) Walton of Florida. Jon is survived by his loving parents, daughter, Angelena Sholun and her mother, Raphaela King, brother, Christopher Sholun of Philadelphia, step-sister, Michelle Norwood , maternal grandparents, Robert and Florence Broach of Killingworth, aunts, Gail Kane, Gwen Brayshaw, Kim Connolly and Laura Petit, uncle, Robert Broach and a best friend, Chris Balcerzak.
Jon was a high school hockey player and graduate of Branford High School; he worked with his dad at Mark1 Custom Floor Refinishers. Jon was an avid fisherman who fished commercially. He loved the water and working on lobster boats with Michael Trello.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven with a brief memorial service at 8 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
