Obituary of Anne P. Hines

Anne P. Hines 76, lifelong resident of East Haven passed away March 24, 2015 at home. She was born August 2, 1938 in New Haven to the late Joseph and Helen (Noonan) Hines. Anne is survived by her sister, Mary Walsh of Dubois, PA, two nieces; Susan Paterson (Wade) of Plum, PA and Noreen Frazier (Mark) of Monroeville, PA, three nephews; James Walsh of East Haven, Christopher Walsh (Pamela) of Verona, PA and Patrick Walsh (Janice) of Mt. Lebanon, PA. Anne is also survived by nine great nieces/nephews, five great-great nieces/nephews, extended family in Ireland, where she loved to travel, friends, the Momauguin Girls and friends of St. Mary’s High School. Anne was a retired employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield with over 40 years of service; she belonged to Blue Horizon Retirees Club, St. Clare Ladies Guild, Bradford Manor Firehouse Ladies Auxiliary President, East Haven Historical Society, Irish American Community Center where she learned Gaelic and was a Eucharistic Minister of St. Raphael Hospital. Anne was very proud and thankful to be a Eucharistic Minister at St. Clare Church, where she also served as a lector, sang in the choir and played the organ. Family will receive friends from 4 – 8 PM on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10:30 AM in St. Clare Catholic Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven. Committal to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
