Frank Infante 71 of East Haven passed away March 1, 2015 at home surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was born June 6, 1943 in Minori, Italy to Biagio and Mariantonietta (Persico) Infante. Frank came to Connecticut at the age of 13 and worked various jobs which included Libby’s Pastry Shoppe in New Haven; driving a dry ice truck and working his way from porter to baker at a local donut shop. Frank was the co-owner of Frankie & Johnny’s Pizza in Branford, CT, and the proud founder and owner of Donut Village Inc. with stores in Guilford, Branford and Hamden, CT; and actively supported local communities through his business. Frank enjoyed the ocean and could often be found relaxing on his boat “Showdown” with his family and friends. He was a loving father and very active in the lives of his children and family, offering his time to their activities and giving sound advice about all areas of life. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered in the hearts of all who knew him. He is preceded in death by parents; sister, Rosa Zizzi and four brothers; John, Matteo, Emilio and Antonio Infante. Frank is survived by loving wife of over 50 years, Genevieve (Criscuolo) Infante and three daughters; Lisa Infante of East Haven, Michelle DeMaio (Paul) of East Haven, Christine Knight (Jonathan) of Simsbury and three grandchildren; Francesca DeMaio, Paul DeMaio and Genevieve Knight. Frank is also survived by sister; Carmela Schiavo (Antonio) of North Haven; brother, Ralph Infante (Patty) of New Haven and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven from 8:30 – 10:15 AM. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 10:15 on Saturday for a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, East Haven. Committal will be private. Donation may be made to National Kidney Foundation 1463 Highland Ave. Cheshire , CT, 06410.
