Edmund Joseph Santomasso 62 of Clinton, passed away February 24, 2015 at CT Hospice. He was born March 12, 1952 in New Haven to Hugo and Theresa (Vellaccio) Santomasso. He is preceded in death by father, Hugo Santomasso, he is survived by mother, Theresa of East Haven, loving wife of 39 years, Denise (Longley) Santomasso of Clinton, daughter, Jeanine Santomasso (Fiancé Kyle McQueen) of West Haven, son Edmund Santomasso Jr. of Clinton and a sister, Antoinette Ventre (Philip) of Madison.
Edmund was a machine operator with Local 478, International Operating Engineers. He was employed by C.J. Fucci Construction Company for over 30 years. He was a proud member of the Branford Gun Club and Guilford Sportsman Club where enjoyed his friends and shooting skeet.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28 at 9:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven. Committal will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford CT 06405 in memory Edmund Santomasso.
