Louise Caprio, 92, of East Haven, passed away December 28, 2014 at Apple Rehab in Guilford. She was born April 17, 1922 in New Haven. She is preceded in death by parents, Husband, Dominic Caprio, son, Pasquale Caprio and a brother. Louise is survived by niece, Fran Raucci of East Haven, great-niece, Gina Raucci of East Haven, sister, Mary DelRossi of New York, daughter-in-law, Terri Caprio of Kettering, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Louise was a long time parishioner of St. Donato's church of New Haven in which she was an active member of their altar society as well as their ladies guild and choir. Louise was very artistic; she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and had a love of plants, especially her African violets. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Apple Rehab for their loving and compassionate care. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Friday, January 2, 2015 in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. Funeral service is in the care of Clancy Funeral Home, East Haven. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Apple Rehab, 10 Boston Post Rd., Guilford CT 06437 in memory of Louise Caprio.
