I just learned Scott passed away , 36 years ago he took me and another kid to the airport to wash his plane,he then paid us,and then took us up for a ride. I was scared and excited all at the same time. I never forgot that plane ride! For years every time I saw Scott we would wave to each other, and I would think of that plane ride! He was a good hearted man back then as he was years later he never acted better than anybody as far as I'm concerned Scott is still flying that plane, his life proved to me, little things you do to help somebody does matter. A life well lived Scott, by the way I never had a father ,Scott took time to care about kids having hard times that's the Scott that I knew.

have know Scott since we were neighbors on Pennsylvania Ave, almost since the day he was born. He remained by brother Michael's best friend since then till he passed. He was friends to all of the Messinas'.Whenever we needed help. a visit moral support or business advice, he was there without hesitation. He was a fine man with a kindness that was at his very core.I am deeply shocked and sadden beyond measure at his loss. Having lost two siblings of my own I can empathize with all his family. I remember driving into the driveway at his business with my brother Michael, and seeing a three legged dog,and my brother Mike said, I'll bet you anything that's Scotty's dog and of course,it was his dog.I think that story personifies the person he was, he will be missed

I knew Scott for many years through association with New Haven Airways. However, after connecting with him every Thursday for the past eight or so years, I got to really know Scott. He was a very intelligent man with a deep sense of integrity. He was generous to a fault and always willing to help a friend and a stranger. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a special love for animals, especially my Buster.
He may have been my employer, but first and foremost he was my friend, I will miss you terribly, Scott. Rest in Peace. You have earned your place in Heaven.

I am Sharon's older sister. I was so sorry to hear about Scott. What a genuinely good guy! He was very nice to my family and even called my sister when he heard about my Mom passing away. He was so much fun,and a daredevil. He took me for my first motorcycle ride,(up a hill, no path) and 1st plane ride in the little plane, leaning wings side to side to say hi to all those below. I still have photos that I took up there, of our house on Hopson Ave.& of my Uncle Connie's farm on Montowese St., Branford. Both rides, when I was a teen, were the most thrilling & unforgettable. He left his imprint on the hearts of mine and many & will be missed dearly. My true condolences

Dear Suzie & Families.
Scott's passing to the other side has left so many broken hearts. I along with my family have so many wonderful memories, from Childhood to Adulthood, ones that could never be forgotten. Those who knew Scotty, knew his loving & giving nature, never expecting anything in return for his acts of kindness. He touched my life in more ways than one. I will miss him dearly. He now flys with the Angels. Our deepest sincere Sympathies to you all!
R.I.P. Scotty...
