Obituary of Jennie Mauro

Jennie Mauro, 84 of New Haven passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 29, 2013. She was born August 19, 1929 in New Haven. She is the daughter of Catello and Josephine (Panzo) Amore. Jennie is preceded in death by parents and five siblings; Giro Amore, Dominic Amore, Salvatore Amore, Margaret Petrelli and Mary Iannotti. Jennie is survived by loving son, Salvatore Mauro of Branford, brother, Frank Amore of New Haven, sister, Carmela Celotto of New Haven and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a teller at Connecticut Bank and Trust in New Haven. Her most recent employment was with city of New Haven School cafeteria lunch program where she worked 18 years at Jackie Robinson School. She was an avid New York Yankee fan and enjoyed watching and attending games with her son, Sal. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 2, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 3, at 9:40 AM for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven. Committal to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
