Mary Rose “Marie” Charpentier, 78 of East Haven, passed away May 2, 2013 at Talmadge Park. She was born November 17, 1934 in N. Africa to Rudolph and Carmen (Hernandez) Diaz. Marie is preceded in death by parents and husband, Jean Charpentier, step-mom, Lisa Diaz. She is survived by sons, Richard Charpentier (Elaine) of East Haven, Patrick Charpentier (Susan) of N. Haven, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Rudy Diaz (Shirley), Gabe Diaz (Vanda), Allan Diaz, sisters, Nicole Nin (Michel) and Madeline Allen. Marie was a retired CNA with over 35 years of service at the former Clifton House in New Haven. She loved her family, friends and traveling to France and Florida Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave, East Haven at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 7, for a 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Pompeii. Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10: 30 AM on Tuesday. The family would like to thank the staff at Talmadge Park and hospice for all their kind and professional care. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Talmadge Park or CT Hospice in memory of Marie Charpentier.
