I’ve known Mike since our days at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, and admired him from the beginning. He was a straight-A student, an excellent musician (who made the Connecticut all-state band), and could discuss any subject from politics to sports to music and more with ease and fluency. I last saw Mike this past October when I visited him on one of my trips back home, and we took a drive around the Valley and down to Milford to catch up on everything. Our most recent conversation was just several weeks ago when we discussed the NCAA basketball and hockey tournaments, and he always kept me informed on the latest news in Connecticut. It saddens me deeply that I will have one less stop to make when I visit Connecticut in the future. God Bless and rest in peace my friend.
