Obituary of Marie A. Duro

Marie A. Santagata Duro,93, of East Haven passed away April 11,2013 at home with her family at her side. She was the loving wife for over sixty one years of Anthony J. Duro. Mother of Joseph A. Duro of East Haven,Jeanne Iodice of Bridgeport and the late John J. Duro and Donald Grigley. Also survived by seven grandchildren,thirteen great grandchildren, a brother Gerry Santagata of Branford and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother Raymond Santagata and sisters Gloria Powers and Rose McDonald .Born June 3,1919 in Naples ,Italy she came to this country as a child and as an adult she was employed for many years as a bookeeper for several area banks. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Tuesday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clare Church at 10:00 Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.Friends may call Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30.
