My thoughts are with the family and friends of Joseph. In Daniel 12:13 God told Daniel you will rest and will stand up for your lot at the end of the day. This is a wonderful hope for our dead loved ones today.

Where do I begin, Joe took me in like a son when he didn't even know me from Adam. I had the honor to know Joe and whether it was sharing a meal or shooting trap, Joe was the type of guy who never beat around the bush. He always laid it out straight for ya.
Joe loved his kids. He was a dedicated father to Christine and to Liz (who I'm sorry I haven't met). He was a dedicated grand father and great grandfather.
He was a dedicated American who loved his country. He loved his gun club. One of my most memorable times with Joe was when he came to visit me in Honolulu, (actually he came to see Pearl Harbor). He had a great time visiting the battleship Missouri , where I got an education on Navy life. We went whale watching and saw no whales and like a true sailor when we returned to port, we headed straight to the nearest bar, where his Italian charm proceeded to charm every women in the bar.
I'm going to miss Joe. He was truly like a father to me. And since he can no longer argue with me, I'm going to say, I love you Dad and goodbye.
Ke akua a hui kakou oka ohana aloha kanaka. (God be with you til we meet again and your family. Aloha my friend).

It's only been one day dad and I miss you already...I can never thank you enough for always being there for me and the girls..you taught me so much however, the most importent thing I learned from you was how to be selfless. .that's one thing about myself that I can be proud to be..
I am grateful knowing that you are no longer suffering..I know you kept a lot of things about your illness from me but I knew you were in pain..seeing you at peace helped me accept you were gone.
The healing process is going to be a long road but you can rest peacefully knowing that I am surrounded by friends and family that love me and the girls.
We love you dad..
