Obituary of Julia H. Mustakos

Julia H. Mustakos age 88 of East Haven Ct. departed this life from her home on Dec23, ‚ to meet her beloved late husband James Mustakos in heaven. Julia was born in New Haven on March 24, 1924 the daughter of Angelo and Assunta Pinto, she was a lifelong resident of East Haven. In her early years Julia was employed by the Southern New England Telephone Co. and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers .She also worked at Connecticut Limousine for several years. Julia is survived by her loving children Julie (Bill) Hurley and Jim (Lynette) Mustakos. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bill Hurley Jr. ‚ Alicia ‚ Joseph, and Gabrielle Alfano. She was predeceased by a daughter Demitra ( De De) Alfano, her parents and eight brothers and sisters. A special thank you to Jackie Jacquemin her care taker and companion for the past two years. The family would also like to thank the staff at Yale New Haven Hospital, Orchard House and Ct. Hospice for all their caring compassion and help. Julia loved to read ‚ cook, and travel. She will be sadly missed, especially by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10:00 in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Julia’s name to either Orchard House or Ct. Hospice both located in Branford Ct.
