My father-in-law was the kindest man that you could ever meet.
Everyone who knew Paul, knew he was a gentle and wonderful man. But anyone that knew him well knew how proud he was of his grandsons, Paulie and Frankie.
He would have given his life for either one of them.
He changed their diapers, fed them, drove them to school and saw them grow into great young men, even saw Paulie graduate from
UCONN.
When he told us of his illness, less than 2 weeks ago, he came to our house and started telling us what was going on with him. He said that
The doctors had told him that he may have days, weeks maybe a month. We were all in a state of shock. But he was calm, and he told us each what he expected of us. He told me that I was the strong one and that I had gone through this and I should be strong for the rest of us. He told Paulie to be a great teacher and to help kids,
Frankie, you do well in school and be a great goalie and to his son Paul, he said, you Take care of your family.
My husband had the Privilege of having a loving Dad, my kids were blessed with the most wonderful Grandfather in the world, and I could not have asked for the post perfect father-in-law that anyone could possibly have had, and I respected him as if he were by own father.
Your loving Family
