Helen Barnick Ratliff, 86 of Branford, CT, entered into rest peacefully at her home on July 27, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Donald Ratliff, mother of Lorina Ferrier (Dan) and grandmother of Stefanie Proto, the joy of her life. She was predeceased by her son, Henry (Hank) Landino. Helen was the daughter of the late Steven and Eva Barnick. She was the sister of Jane Marinuzzi and the late Mary Gallien, Stella Verboski, Chester Barnick, Joseph Barnick, Sr. and Walter Barnick. Helen loved people, music, dancing, her flower garden and life itself. She was a very caring and giving person and was an inspiration to all that knew her. Funeral services are Monday at 7 p.m. in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.Friends may call Monday from 4pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 199 Park Rd. Ext., Suite 102, Middlebury, CT. 06762.
