Dear Mimi and Family. I feel very fortunate to have become part of your family...immediate and extended...I will miss Joe at the head of the table, giving orders as to...how to cook, how to prepare, and how to serve the dinner. Mim...you had a tough task...but it was always good...(I think you had a little to do with that)...great meals and more. Joe always wanted to make sure that any and all guests were pleased and full. There was never not enough food to go around. As Stephano suggested, with Joe running Heaven his way, Joe is probably in charge of arranging the meals now. Probably more steaks!
We will miss Joe busting on Chris with Hockey (a girls sport?)Mim...I could never forget, when Olivia was a little toddler how she used to say we're going over Mimi/Dos
And our family in particular, will miss the many speakerphone calls that provided us with endless laughs and entertainment.
"Burns and Allen" had nothin on "Mimi and Joe!"
God Bless You Joe !
We'll all see each other some day in paradise.

To The Entire Luzzi Family:
Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I played football with Joe back in the 50s at Wilbur Cross High School during the 1954 and 1955 seasons. I graduated in 1956. Although I have not seen Joe in many years, I have very vivid and fond memories of those high school years. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the last time I saw Joe was in the summer of 1964 at Lake Quannipaug in Guilford. Joe was a great guy and a wonderful person. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
Sincerely: Larry Bencivengo

My Dear Uncle Joe,
I will miss your warm smile, your kind and gentle heart, and your strong character. I have learned many lessons from you both as a child and as a man. As a recent college graduate i learned how one with normal speech could suddenly suffer from a speech impediment and have a hard time pronouncing the word "stupid" when in a conversation with his mother as his uncle turned and looked lovingly his way. As a teenager, I saw how one man's wood pallets could be turned into an Uncle's sculpted fence and experienced the fun one could have straightening out bent nails and learning to recycle during the warm summer vacation days. As a child I learned that fishing trips are always fun no matter how early you had to get up or how little fish were caught because the alternative to fun was fear. For you were in every sense of the word my Uncle, always a second father to me and my brother.
God Bless you and Rest in Peace.
Love,
Your nephew Lenny

I was sorry to read about Joe's passing. He will be missed as part of your family, as a friend and classmate.
It is too bad that today's athletes do not understand the place of sports in school and college the way Joe did. His quiet pride and humility were examples of how it should be.
May his memory be blessed among you.

God has sent you to see your brothers and sister. You are in Heaven with him and everything will be alright now. No more pain, no more sorrow.
May your family and friends know that for every tear there is a sweet memory of happier times spent with you. You will be missed here on earth, but not in our hearts.

Dear Joe....
I will miss you forever. I will never forget the first day I met you. My mom and I lived at Apple Hill. You were wearing a white suit and a brown shirt. I must say my mom thought you were very handsome and I agree. (Don't let that go to your head!) There are so many memories. I'll always remember you for your strength - both physically and mentally....and whenever I hear a Ray Charles song I will think of you. Rest in peace my dear sir. Please look over my mother and the rest of us. Godspeed. My love always, Lisa xo xo xo
