In New Haven, July 24,2011, Edward R.Chase,84, of Townsend Ave. New Haven. Beloved husband of Phyllis Ciampini Chase. Father of Edward(Victoria)Chase of East Haven. Grandfather of Alyssa Chase of East Haven and Jason Palange Of Brooklyn,NY. Brother of Marjorie Howe of West Haven, Barbara Giaquinto of New Haven and the late Mildred Lipka, Walter Chase and Robert Chase. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born June 25,1927 in New Haven a son of the late Walter and Anna Patterson Chase, he was a US Navy veteran of WW II serving in the Pacific Theater and was employed for many years as an International Representative for the United Papermill Workers Union. He was a member of the Annex YMA.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Wednesday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:30.
