Obituary of Edward Dennis

In Branford, Feb. 2,2011, Edward "Ned" Dennis III, 63, of East Haven. Survived by a sister Marjorie Jane Dennis Elsworth and her husband Glenn C. Elsworth and their children, Stacey Renee Stevens, Lori Leigh Lawlor and Glenn C. Elsworth Jr. of Cleveland ,Ohio, a sister in law Rosemary Dennis Adams and her children Chad, Michael and Samuel of Cooper City,Fl and Edward's extended family, Regina Pompano, Edward and Antoinette Hernandez, Johna Pompano and Kenny and Stacey Dacosta, all of East Haven. He was predeceased by his parents,Edward Dennis Jr. and Marjorie Grace Aldrich Dennis and a brother Charles Thomas Dennis. Born Aug.1,1947 in Waynesburg,PA he served with the US Army from 1967-1969 and was employed by the United Illuminating Co. for over forty years. He was a member of Local # 470 Utility Workers of America AFL-CIO and also was a member of the American Legion Post # 0162. He loved to read and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish. Funeral service will be held Monday morning at 9:30 in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow with military honors in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2 - 5 pm.
